Del Norte County property is shaped by the Pacific Ocean, major rivers, redwood forests, and the California-Oregon border. Crescent City contains the county’s most concentrated residential, commercial, and government property, but much of the county is rural. Smith River and Fort Dick include farms, homes, and coastal-plain parcels. Gasquet follows the Smith River into forested interior country. Klamath sits near the river and Redwood National and State Parks.
